Louisiana Seafood Festival Returns in 2013 at New Location and Announces Sponsors & Music Lineup


NEW ORLEANS, La. (August 26, 2013) – The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation and the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board are excited to announce plans for the 2013 Louisiana Seafood Festival, a celebration of Louisiana’s seafood heritage and most famous cuisine, our fresh and flavorful seafood. The three-day festival will be hosted RAIN OR SHINE at the new City Park Festival Grounds in the heart of New Orleans from Friday, October 11 through Sunday, October 13:

Friday, October 11: 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 12: 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 13: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The 2013 festival will offer menus from some of the best restaurants and caterers in the state. Attendees can enjoy live music all three days, culinary demonstrations from noted chefs and seafood education sessions in a special pavilion, all free for the whole family. Festival features include:

  • • An Incredible Musical Lineup including Better Than Ezra, Honey Island Swamp Band, Johnny Sketch & the Dirty Notes and many more.
  • • A 4,000 Square Foot Covered Pavilion featuring celebrity chef demonstrations.
  • • A Kid’s Pavilion with special activities from the Louisiana Children’s Museum.
  • • An Arts & Crafts Village showcasing gifts, décor and more.
  • • Food and Beverages from some of the best vendors in the state.
  • • Free Admission — bring your friends and family!

The festival is produced by the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve Louisiana communities by providing support for education, health, and social welfare. Proceeds from the festival will benefit this important foundation.
