Louisiana Seafood Festival Announces the 2016 Menus & Featured Cooking Demos While Raising Funds for Flood Relief
 
NEW ORLEANS, La. (August 23, 2016) – This year’s Louisiana Seafood Festival will be home to 27 food vendors showcasing 56 seafood dishes, as well as 11 non-seafood dishes and 5 dessert items. All of the six indigenous Louisiana seafood species are represented in the food vendor menus, with dishes including alligator, fish, crab, shrimp, crawfish and oysters. New food vendors for 2016 include Ajun Cajun, Dat Dog, Dirty Dishes, Praline Connection, Quintin’s Ice Cream, and Voleo’s Seafood. There are also a couple of new items from long-time festival vendors include Seafood Lasagna from Andrea’s Restaurant and Fried Crawfish Caesar Salad from Mr. Mudbug & 12 Seasons Catering. You cannot go to the fest without sampling long-time favorites including Drago’s Original Charbroiled Oysters and Galatoire’s Shrimp Remoulade.

2016 Louisiana Seafood Festival – Food, Music & Ticket Info Released
 
NEW ORLEANS, La. (July 14, 2016) – New information has been released for the 2016 Louisiana Seafood Festival, which is a signature fundraising event for the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation, who also produces the event. The three-day annual festival, scheduled for September 2-4, 2016 at City Park Festival Grounds in New Orleans, is a celebration of all the fresh and flavorful seafood that makes Louisiana great. The festival features over two dozen of the best restaurants and caterers in Louisiana, live national and local music acts, over a dozen celebrity cooking demonstrations from some of the region’s highest acclaimed chefs, an art market with handmade and original crafts, and children’s activities.

Louisiana Seafood Festival Enjoyed Continued Growth in Attendance
 
NEW ORLEANS, La. (September 10, 2015) – The Louisiana Seafood Festival hosted their largest crowds ever at City Park’s Festival Grounds as it moved to new dates over Labor Day weekend. Attendance figures were up, hosting over 56,000 guests at the 2015 festival.
 
“We are excited that the new dates worked out, although we are learning how to battle the blazing heat of early September,” said Tony Abadie, Foundation Vice President. “The crowds were great. We saw a healthy mix of locals and visitors enjoying the food and music. We have already hosted our first planning meeting for 2016 and are discussing ways to continue to improve the consumer and vendor experience.”

Festival Will Feature More Than 50 Seafood Dishes
 
NEW ORLEANS, La. (August 31, 2015) – This year’s Louisiana Seafood Festival will be home to 25 food vendors showcasing 51 seafood dishes, as well as 5 non-seafood dishes and 5 dessert items. Each of the six Louisiana seafood species is represented in the festival’s ever-growing eclectic menu – dishes including alligator, fish, crab, shrimp, crawfish and oysters.

Music Schedule Released for 2015
 
NEW ORLEANS, La. (August 6, 2015) – The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation has released the music schedule for the 2015 Louisiana Seafood Festival. The event will feature 15 musical acts throughout the three-day event. The event will feature 19 musical acts throughout the weekend while attendees enjoy a selection of Louisiana Seafood products from the festival’s food vendors. Celebrity Chefs will Demonstrate Culinary Talents at the 2014 Louisiana Seafood Festival

 

NEW ORLEANS, La. (October 3, 2014) – The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation has announced the celebrity chef cooking demonstration schedule for the upcoming Louisiana Seafood Festival. Next week’s event will include 15 demonstrations throughout the weekend featuring Louisiana Seafood products as main ingredient of each recipe.
 
The demonstrations will be held inside the WWL-TV Cooking Pavilion located in the heart of City Park’s Festival Grounds. This covered pavilion will feature a stage with an outdoor kitchen including ample seating and shade for festival attendees.

Culinary events add flavor to New Orleans’ festival slate – Travel Weekly

 

New Orleans may be best known for its music festivals and Mardi Gras, but over the past decade, a growing number of events have put the Big Easy on the culinary festival map.
 
The New Orleans Wine & Food Experience, now in its 22nd year, attracts more than 10,000 epicureans to tasting events, seminars and a gala finale. Kicking off on May 21, this year’s event will feature more than 1,000 wines from over 200 winemakers as well as dishes from more than 100 New Orleans restaurants.
 
Highlights will include an evening stroll through the city that combines antiques, art, jazz and architecture with wine tasting, and a pastry competition with the desserts paired with Champagne and spirits.
