NEW ORLEANS, La. (September 2, 2014) – The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation and the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board are excited to announce details regarding the 2014 Louisiana Seafood Festival, a celebration of Louisiana’s seafood heritage and most famous cuisine, our fresh and flavorful seafood. The three-day festival will again be hosted RAIN OR SHINE at City Park’s Festival Grounds in New Orleans from Friday, October 10th through Sunday, October 12th:

Attendees will enjoy live music all three days, culinary demonstrations from noted Louisiana chefs and seafood education sessions in a special pavilion, all free for the whole family. Festival features include:

• A Kid’s Tent featuring fun, seafood-themes activities from the Louisiana Children’s Museum

The festival is produced by the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to facilitate the efforts of the hospitality industry to improve Louisiana in a variety of ways and to provide support for the education, health and social welfare of children in the community.

According to previous Louisiana Seafood Festival attendee surveys conducted by the University of New Orleans’ Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Administration program have shown that people come from all over the world for this event. This year, the festival has partnered with the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation for a sweepstakes contest where someone can win a free trip to New Orleans for the Louisiana Seafood Festival. The last day to enter the sweepstakes is 3:00 pm CST on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.
